“Composites in the West” – Joint Apéritif

Carbon Composites Schweiz—the National Thematic Network (NTN) and the Swiss regional department of Carbon Composites e.V. (CCeV)—is pleased to announce the opening of its office in western Switzerland and is organizing an technology aperitif to mark the occasion.

The branch, which will be managed in collaboration with CCMX, the Competence Centre for Materials Science and Technology, aims to build the network of companies and research facilities involved in the area of high-performance fiber composites though members’ and working group meetings, themed days, presence at trade fairs and conferences and training opportunities.

To celebrate this expansion, we’ve asked a handful of the companies and research groups active in the field in Western Switzerland to present their work. From High-End Thermoplastic Composites to use of composites at CERN, the presentations and the following apéro will give us a chance to discuss some of the most recent applications in industry as well as future prospects showing where fundamental research and innovative ideas can take this exciting field.

The informal aperitif, offered after the talks, is an occasion to meet the speakers and explore opportunities for collaboration. Please join us!
